There's a Hairy Potato in the Grid! is an 11x14 mixed-media piece bursting with personality — a rogue's gallery of faces and figures locked in the geometry of the gel-plate grid. An artist at work, chess pieces mid-game, an angry neighbor who did not ask to be here, and yes, a very distinguished hairy potato holding court among them all.

Created through intuitive layering and gel-plate printing, each figure emerged unbidden — discovered rather than designed. The grid holds them together, but barely.
